Memoirs of an imperfect angel, al 12-lea album din cariera, va fi lansat spre sfarsitul verii, pe 25 august 2009. Primul single extras, " Obsessed ", a fost primit foarte bine de fani, fiind numit hitul verii de MTV.com, Rolling Stone si New York Magazine. Pe contul Twitter a explicat de ce a ales cele 3 imagini pentru coperta: "The reason I chose to use the 3 images for the cover is cos there are a lot of different emotions and stories revealed in this album".

6 titluri ce vor face de pe album au fost confirmate: "Obsessed", "H.A.T.E.U.", "100 Percent", "I Want To Know What Love Is" (Foreigner cover), "Candy Bling", "The Impossible".
